The research team used simple chemical and physical procedures to prepare different types of novel semiconductor nanostructures for application in various fields.

Noble Metal Nanostructures in Biological and Drug Detection

        Metal nanostructures have the potential to manufacture biosensors and biochips. The fabricated nanostructures on substrates have been the focus of research. The research team used the self-assembly method, electroless metal deposition method, or ion-sputtering method to deposit metal nanostructures on substrates or unique structures and applied them to surface-enhanced Raman scattering for the detection of biological or medical drugs.

        Recently, the preparation and research of different nano-heterostructures have been much attention from scholars. The construction of different materials can further improve the characteristics of the original materials, such as specific surface area, the light-harvesting ability, and the charge carrier separation.
